Pat Dillan - President, EFFA
Pat Dillon, originally from Limerick, Ireland but now living in Dublin, is vice-president of Aerly Bird Trans Global (ABTG) Ireland. Pat has been in the forwarding business since 1980. Having worked with independent freight forwarders Pat was part of the original team that launched ABTG in 1989. ABTG became members of EFFA in 2003 and Pat has attended all EFFA AGMs since then, successfully hosting the 2006 meeting in Dublin, Ireland.
Over the years Pat has gained experience in all transport types and customs clearance. In the present day Pat focuses on business development within Ireland and internationally working closely with EFFA members.
A former footballer Pat’s personal interests include a devout love of soccer and rugby as well as the Irish field sport of hurling, keep fit, music and travel.
Pat became president of EFFA at the recent 2009 conference which took place in Mumbai. He intends to use his tenure to enhance the close knit family like relationship that exists between current members and to extend it to new members who wish to join our network with emphasis on mutual support and business development.
